Most health insurers provide coverage for Nutrition Counseling/Medical Nutrition Therapy. You are encouraged to call the Customer Service number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your coverage. If you belong to an HMO, then you will likely need a referral from your Primary Care Provider. Your visit may be subject to meeting your deductible first or may require a copay.
