Winter 2019

Thirty-eight years later….and I am so fortunate to have reconnected with the single-most influential and kind professor while at Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Carol Whitlock…you mean the world to me and I am forever grateful for your belief in me and quiet guidance provided when I was a student in your lab. You understood the role of a teacher not only as educator, but also as mentor and always with a quick smile and thoughtful lilt in your voice. You encouraged me to transform soybeans into tofu and that set me on a trajectory that metaphorically represented how to begin with an idea and follow it through to a reality. I have practiced that repeatedly since then. You are the best of the best. October 2019
