Noah is almost 16. And despite he once being an outdoor cat, he now spends about 23 hours a day inside sound asleep. The other hour is spent contemplating and talking with me about nutrition. I am merely his writer and this is his first entry on the web.
I’ve long wondered why humans don’t get it. I mean, I hear her talking endlessly about why eating ‘health promoting’ foods are beneficial, why exercise and sleep play critical roles in weight loss and maintenance, the evidenced-based reasons why the food industry’s processed foods hijack your brain, and I see her reading those must-be-boring professional journals most nights, but something still doesn't square. Why don’t humans just do it? It sounds so straight forward, and yet most struggle with it. It seems that it isn’t just about what you know, but more about who you are. And it is there where you have to begin if you want to truly see the change that you say you want. You have to change. And that change takes courage and vision. You already know what you need to do. You get to write your destiny; get busy.
